William might have been the one in 1890 Lincoln Nebraska, memeber of the Knights of Pythias.
William Chichester, 38, and Marcella M. Merrill, 23, married in Crete, Saline County, Nebraska July 10, 1890.

In 1900 Seward County, Nebraska, William Chichester is a jeeweler, born Feb 1855 in New York, marred 11 yesars to Marcella born Feb 1866 in Canada. Benjamin was born March 19897 in Nebaska.

"In July 1909 a call went out in the young town of Wauneta urging the formation of an official fire department. That September the “Village Dads” purchased a new hose cart and on Jan. 6, 1910, a 14-member volunteer fire company was formed in Wauneta. William Chichester was chief, H.E. Watson, clerk, and H.E. Athey, treasurer."

In 1910 Chase County, Nebraska, William is a jeweler, on his second marrieate, with Marcela and Benjamin now 13, Alice 8 born in Nebaska, and Norman Merrill, a nephew one month old born in Nebraska.
All five of them are still in Chase County in 1920.

In 1930 Chase County, Marcella is a dressmaker, widowed, 63, with Alice A. 28 divorced, a solicitor.

William 1855-1921 # 37224258 and Martha Marcella (Merrill) (Chichester) Bressie 1867-1955 are buried in Wauneta, Nebraska # 37819206.
Her second husband, Henry M. Bressie, 1861-1934 is buried in Benkelman, Nebraska # 76127044.

Alice is buried in Chase County.

Benjamin is in Colorado Springs in 1930, a painter, 33, married to Virginia 31, both born in Nebraska. Betty L. 2 and Ruth E. six months were born in Colorado.

In 1940 Colorado Springs, Ben is a post office letter carrier, with Louisa having Bettie Lou 12, Ruth 10, Norman 7, Marcella 2, and David two months.

In 1968 Colorado Springs, Ben is a violin maker, with Louise at 1625 W. Vermijo. David is a student with them. Norman J. (Joy) is an order editor for D^M Electronic Supply, living at 710 n Weber.

David Lewis Chichester was born October 25, 1939 in Colorad Springs to Benjamin L. Chichester and Virginia L. York, dying December 31, 2003.

Marcella J. Chichester, born about 1938, married George G. Smart in San Francisco March 23, 1956.

Betty Louise Chichester was born July 22, 1926 in Holyoke to Ben Chicchester and Virginia York, as Betty Fredenburg in 1945, as Betty Davern in 1965, and as Parker in 1969, dying Dec 7, 2000.

In 1880 Seward County, Nebraska, William Merrill is farming, 42, born in England. Mary Ann 38, Benjamin 15, Marcella 13, William H. 16, Herbert F. 8, Elizabeth 6, and John 4.
All but William were born in Canada.

In 1910 Lincoln County, Nebraska, Norman Merrill is 26, widowed, born in Nebraska.l His brother Herb F. 38 was bon in Canada.. Both are farming.

In 1920 Cherry County, Nebraska, Norman Merill is 38, widowed, born in Nebraska, farming.
Norman is on the census here, too, 10, Merlin is 3, Winona 2.

In 1930 Grant County, Nebraska, Norman is 46, a blacksmith, with Agnes 31 - married three years. Norman B. is 20, Merlin 13, and Winona 12.
Merlin E. Merrill, born Sept 28, 1916 in Hyannis, Grant County, Nebraska, died Dec 31, 1999, buried in McMinville, Oregon.
He's buried there # 86826127 "He was preceded in death by a brother, Norman Merrill, and a sister, Winona Halverson."
