Gustav J. N. Jaeger, father John C. F. Jaeger , Fleming

In 1880 Hall County, Nebraska, J. C. F. "Jager" is a painter, 41, Maria 40, Gustaf 17, Ernestine 13, and Emil 9 - all wee born in Holstein.

Ernestine Henrietta Marie Jaeger 1867-1943 married John Henry Sautter 1852-1933 in Greeley County Nebraska February 4, 1885.
They lived in Scotia, Nebraska, John dying in 1933. Ernestinge M. Sautter died Janaary 9, 1943, and is buried in Mount Hope cemetery, Greeley County.
"John H. Sautter of Scotia is Dead. Mr. Sautter had been in good health until Friday afternoon when he became ill. He grew weaker until the end came Monday.
Mr. Sautter, who was 81 years old, was an unusually active man for his age. He was working around his home the day he became ill.
Mr. Sautter was born June 26, 1852 in Roiton, Wuertenbery, Germany. He left Germany with his parents when a small boy and came to Indiana, where he grew to manhood. He taught school in Indiana and in Iowa.
In 1879 he came to Scotia and took a homestead and timber claim three miles east of Scotia. This was his home until 1915 when he built his home in Scotia.
He was married February 4th, 1885 to Ernestine Jaeger of Scotia. Two children, Arthur E. and Henry E. were born to this union.
Mr. Sautter was well and favorably known in Greeley. His death takes another from the rapidly thinning ranks of the early settlers.

In 1896 Oregon City, Oregon, Henry C. Palmer sued John C. F. Jaeger, et al; "verdict for defendant."

In 1900 Clackamas County, John C. "Jagger" is farming, born Dec 1838, married 38 years to Mary born July 1839, both in Germany. Son Emil born January 1871 is just married to Augusta January 1882 in Oregon. Mary has had three kids, all living.

In 1910 Clackamas County, John C. Jaeger is 48, with Mary 71, both born in Germany. Daughter-in-law Augusta is widowed, with her kids Rosa M. H. 9 and Otto A. 6.

Next household is George Jaeger 46 and Margaret 40, married 17 years, both born in Germany. Arthur 16 Henry 14, Paul 12, Martha 8, and August 1 were all born in Oregon.

John C. Jaeger, born December 19, 1839 in Germany, mother's maiden name Schutt, died in Salem Oregon April 15, 1911. Informant was George Jager of Sherwood.

The Pleasant View Cemetery in Clackamas County, Oregon has a John C. Jaeger 1839-1911 " Father of Gustave, Ernestine, and Emil Jaeger""

In July 1912 Marie Jaeger was administratix of the estate of John C. Jaeger.

Emil F. Jaeger 1870-1907 is buried in Pleasnt Hill.
J.C. Jaeger was administratof the estate, with hearings June 1, 1908.

December 1931 "At the residence, five miles southeast of Salem, December 2, Jacob Schnebeli, 73. Survived by two nieces, Mrs. Augusta Jaeger of Wilsonville and Mrs. David R. Yantis. Funeral services from the chapel of W. T. Rigdon and Son Saturday. December 5, at 2 p. m."

Augusta Christina is buried in Greenwood, 1882-1963, born as Dieckman, marrying Emil Jaeger, dying as Springsteen.

Also buried in Pleasant View is Otto A. Jaeger 1904-1992 "Son of Emil Frederick Jaeger and Augusta Christina (Dieckman) Jaeger ."On the same stone is A. Pearl Jaeger 1904-1981.

One tree said Gustave married Catarina Margaretha Luehman born in Hannover Germany Sept 23, 1868, dying November 1915 in Portland, Oregon.

On the same page as John in 1900 Clackamas County is Gustave Jagger born May 1864, married seven years to Margaret Sept 1867 in Germany. She's had three kids, all living. Arthur Feb 1894,Henry October 1895, and Paul May 1897.
In 1910 Clackamas County, Gus is 46, Margaret 40, Arthur 16, Henry 14, Paul 12, Martha 8, and August 1.

July 8, 1915 " Mrs. Gustave Jaeger recently underwent a very serious operation at a Portland hospital."

In 1920 Clackamas County, Gustave is 56, widowed, immigratin in 1881, naturalized 1895. Paul is 22, August 10, and Walter 9, all three born in Oregon. Sister-in-law Augusta 39 is wiedowed, born in Oregon and her son Otto 15 in Oregon.

In 1930 Wilsonville precinct, Clackamas County, Gustave is 65 born in Germany, Augusta 48 born in Oregon, wtih August 21 Oregon and Walter 19 Oregon.

On the same stone as Gustav 1863-1945 is Margaretha 1868-1915 - born in Germany nee Luehmann "Mother of Arthur, Henry, Paul, Martha, and August"

Walter Jaeger 1911-1995 is buried in Portland, # 114682558.
