About 1904 she moved to Logan County, Colorado and was married to Marion Ray Davis. They were also divorced and 1925 she's found working as a maid in Des Moines, Iowa where she lived for at least 15 years. She was honored with her sister Alta, at a birthday party in 1951. She took back her maiden name after each divorce. She had no children.

Hill: three sons, Ben, Herman and Claude Hill at home; a daughter, Edith Hill at home; two sisters Miss Nola McGruder and Mrs. Alta Ferris of Des Moines, Ia., and two brothers, Cecil McGruder of Storm Lake, Ia., and Emmett McGruder of Hamilton, Ia. Andrew McGruder 1813-1891 had a daughter Mary France McGruder, who married Arza Lyman of Haxtun. Mary 1849-1926 is buried in Haxtun with Arza.
