Robinson's Mine August 23, 1889
On the back of the photo: Home Gallery, O.T. Davis, Prop,
East 6th Street, Walsenburg, Colo.
My great-grandfather, James Hill worked for the Colorado Fuel
& Iron Co's Mine for 25 yrs.
He was a carpenter, building the tipple (?) and the braces
inside the mines. Perhaps that's why he had a copy of the
photo in his belongings.
