This list covers the six counties of the San Luis Valley; Alamosa , Conejos, Costilla , Mineral, Rio Grande & Saguache County. This has been done so researchers can have one list for the San Luis Valley counties. Residents of the valley often lived in more than one county. You may post queries to this list, but also use the RootsWeb Message Boards for that county.
If you would be interested in joining this list, you may do so by sending a message with the word "subscribe", minus the quotes, in the body of the message to: COALAMOS-request@rootsweb.com.
In March and April, 1996, a group of genealogists organized the Kentucky Comprehensive Genealogy Database. The idea was to provide a single entry point for all counties of Kentucky, where collected databases would be stored. Colorado and other states have seen the usefulness of this project and genealogy pages for most all of the 50 states have been created and together are called the USGenWeb Project. The USGenWeb Project is a part of the WorldGenWeb Project.
Volunteers / representatives are needed who are willing to contribute, coordinate the collection of databases and generally oversee the contents of the pages for each county in all of the states. If you would like to volunteer for a county please visit the Colorado GenWeb Project home page. If the county is available, send mail to the Colorado State Coordinator or Assistant State Coordinator . You can also learn more by visiting the CoGenWeb state page CoGenWeb state welcome page
