Seeking any information re: Virginia MENENDEZ b.aft. 1880 in Sandamias, Asturias, Spain, d/o Segundo MENENDEZ and Esperanza DIAZ . She followed her 3 brothers to America and lived w/ Narcisso MENENDEZ in Brooklyn, NY. Candido MENENDEZ died in Cuba & Francisco MENENDEZ raised his family in Tampa, FL. Virginia supposedly m. Phillip ALVAREZ in NY in the 1920s and they had a daughter, Teresa ALVAREZ , who m. Dale ELLIOTT c. 1945 and later moved to Colorado taking her mother with her.

ANDERSON

SEARCHING FOR AN ANDERSON . I am searching for a relative who was a native of Michigan, Gratiot County to be exact. He moved to Colorado in the mid to late 1800's and established a sheep farm. Shortly thereafter he died. (He froze to death in an abandoned well during a snowstorm.) Apparently there was a search for his kin back in Michigan, but his father refused to believe his son had died and so the estate was never officially settled(or at least as far as the family knows). So if you are familiar with this story or know of Joe ANDERSON son of Alfred ANDERSON and a native of GRATIOT COUNTY, MICHIGAN please contact me.

Rosie Etta BARNES b. Denver, CO January 21, 1882. Brother James (Barns) Barnes listed during the the 1910 Oklahoma Census as 25 years of age, born in Colorado while living with Rosie and "Bud" in Oklahoma, this would place his birth date about 1885, both siblings listed parents as born in Arkansas.
Rosie Etta Barnes met Henry Sylvester Lawley in Decatur, AR in 1899, they married in Hector, Pope County, AR in 1899. Rosie and Henry (Bud) Lawley parented five children, three born in Hector, AR and two born in Johnston County, Oklahoma. Rosie Etta Barnes Lawley died of a burst appendix in 1913 and she and her husband are buried in the Emet Cemetery near Milburn, OK. The only documents to date are a marriage license and the OK census showing a Rosie Etta Barnes .
I would appreciate any information that may be available on the Barnes family in Colorado.

Anne Marie BERGE LEOPOLD was born at Valders, Manitowoc Co., WI, 3 Apr 1868. She married a man by the name of LEOPOLD and lived somewhere in Colorado. We know of two children: Bertha LEOPOLD , who married Harold GATES , and Helen LEOPOLD , who is said to have been adopted after her father's death. Details are sketchy, but I would welcome any information on these people and their descendants.

I would like to hear from anyone researching the Bethune name. My husband's 2x great grandfather William Densmore BETHUNE born May 1860 in TN lived in Colorado in 1885. He had a daughter named Maude who was born here. He later moved to Arkansas.

I have William's descendents and parents and grandparents as well as cousins to share. I would like to locate siblings for William. Can you kelp me?

I know that this is a long shot, but I am frustrated while working on my family history. My grandmother was named Florence Alice Williams . She was born October 9, 1904. She had siblings by the name of Minnie and Frank. My problem is the only information that I have about her pass is that she and her siblings lived in many orphanages in Colorado since their mother passed away while they were young. They believed their mothers surname to be Black . Their father couln't keep them due to his job working on the railroad. Any helpful advice would be appreciated.

BRICE , Joseph Samuel. Born Pike County MO in 1848-49. Married Emily Grant in Putnam County Mo in 1868. Parents were, Samuel BRICE & Harriet FIELDS . Joseph's siblings were John Brice & Armilda Brice . He also had seven half brothers and sisters from his father's second marriage to Agnes Jane Montgomery . Joseph was living in Colorado in 1897 when his father died.

Looking for any information regarding my grandparents William N. Coleman and Letha R. Estes or Esters . Only information I have is that they met in Colorado. I assume it was before my mother was born in the year 1920. In 1920 they moved to Michigan. William was born in Kansas in the year 1889 and Letha was born in Michigan in the year 1891. I assume they lived in Colorado sometime between 1889 and 1920. Letha parents were Harry Estes or Esters and Salina Estes or Esters . Williams parents were Dr.? Coleman and Martha Coleman . Im trying to help a friend find her ancesters, she is not sure of the county but is looking for any information on Juan Pedro Mase from Colorado was married to Rebecca Cordova , they had a daughter named Manulatia Mase . Manulatia was married to a Gomez . Would be willing to trade information. My friend thinks they may come from the area of Gray Creek or Trinidad Colorado.Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for the family of William DARK and his wife Cynthia DARK . Their children were Clylde DARK , Ota DARK , Chester DARK , and Cecil DARK . On the federal census of 1920 Cecil states that he was borned in Colorado. Edwin (or Edward) Henry DUNHAM died in CO on 10 June 1890. Where? He was my Grandmother Josephine Dunham's Father; the husband of Zerelda Cutting ; married in Rice County, KS on 31 July 1873; Josephine was born there on 31 July 1874. Josephine's sister Harriett (Hattie) was born in Granada, CO on 31 January 1876. Grandmother's records state her father was buried in Gunnison. Not so says the alpha listing of Gunnison's cemeteries. According to "Gunnison Review Press," 21 June 1890, he died in Colorado Springs of Bright's disease (alcoholism) after many years in Gunnison as caterer and hotel keeper. Zerelda divorced?/remarried ca 1880 and lived in Pueblo until her death on 28 Feb 1936. Again, where is Edwin Henry Dunham buried? Do we know any more about him? Your help is truly appreciated.

EDWARDS , "Pete" about the 1870s or 1880s moved to CO. Was reportedly employed in law enforcement. He was my g.grandfather's brother, g.grandfather's name was William Wesley EDWARDS . We think that Pete, William and other brothers unknown to us, came to this country from Wales, possibly abt 1870 - 1880, to work the coal mines in MO.

I am searching for the family and descendants of my Grandmother, Isabell Dilley FERGUSON . Two brothers and one sister resided in Colorado. John Stephen Anderson FERGUSON , b. 1861 in Illinois. Burrell Skinner FERGUSON b. 17 Sep 1865, and Mary Louisa FERGUSON b. 4 Dec 1867 m. Richard Poston. They were the children of Marmaduke Edmund FERGUSON and Sarah Ann GREGORY . The family migrated from Illinois to Missouri after the Civil War and remained there until about the 1890's. Some returned to Illinois, some went to Colorado, and two went to Arkansas.
I would like to share the information that I have with anyone interested. I would really like to correspond with the descendants of John S. A. FERGUSON named George b. 1891 and Clifton b. 1892.

GARRISON (b. 1858, York Co., S.C., d. 1896, I.T.): Viola Garrison (b. 1889, AR), moved to Indian Territory in the 1890s, and finally married a LeRoy Glaze in Prosser, Washington, in 1906. It is presumed that she moved to Colorado shortly after her marriage. Tommie Garrison (b. 1896, I.T.) married a fellow by the name of R.M. Westmoreland in Oklahoma in 1915. It is also presumed she moved to Colorado after her marriage. Mary Ann Garrison (1883, AR), married first, Luther Johnson , in I.T., 1898. They had a son , E. Claude Johnson (b. 1906, AR), who moved to Colorado in the 1930s from Woodruff Co., AR.

I'm trying to locate where in Colorado Luther George Hill GREENE lived. He lived in Colorado from about 1860-1868. He was in the National Guards, but did not fight during the Civil War. He was married to the former Adelaide Amelia Miller , and after leaving Colorado Territory, they settled in Neosho County, KS. I have information on most of his life except for the years spent in Colorado. This couple's first child, Frank H. GREENE was born in Colorada around 1865.

I am looking for any information on Daniel and Manuela Portilla . They immigrated from Spain to the US. Daniel came to Colorado to work in the coal mines. Manuela's maiden name was Gutierrez .
