Co, KY after 1845 and some family tradition indicates they went

I am searching for any information
on a William "Bud"
HAMILTON
who is told to have
gone west to Colorado in 1930 by train from Kentucky to homestead
property. He was a surveyor and merchant in KY. If anyone could
tell me if there was a certain area that was being homesteaded
in the 1930's. He later sent for two of his daughters and a son.

I have a picture of them all at a park in Central City, but I

We are looking for anyone who knew William Evan
Hughes
from southwest Iowa during 1932-33 when he was in the Colorado
area. He was a fifteen year old high school graduate at the time
he went to Colorado in 1932. In 1933 he returned to Iowa to go
to college. The family heard that he went out with some other
young men but does not know much about this time period in his
life. They are trying to find names of persons he was in touch
with while he was in Colorado maybe working as a ranch hand or
farm worker. We would appreciate any help anyone can give.

Built houses and rented them in a silver mining town. Gold was
then discovered 30 miles away and he lost all his money when the
