Washington County, Colorado

Online Census Transcriptions

Currently, there is not a free online US or Colorado census transcription for Washington County. Placing transcriptions online depends on volunteers to transcribe the census and donate the transcription to the USGenWeb Project. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

How you can help!

There are at least two ways you can help.

  1. If you currently have a copy of any of the US Census microfilms for Washington County, and you would like to volunteer to do look-ups for other researchers, e-mail me at mdmonk2@tx.rr.com, and I will post your name here and in the Lookup Volunteer pages of this site.
  2. Join the USGenWeb Census Project http://www.usgwcensus.org. This project organizes volunteers to transcribe and check US Census data for each census year and county. After volunteering for a particular census, you will need to borrow a copy of the census microfilm from your local LDS Family History Center, local library or from the National Archives and transcribe it. (See Census Locations for other suggested places to acquire a copy.) After it is checked for typos, your transcription will be a permanent part of the USGenWeb Archives..
